Sir,Your main headlines Army brass defied Govt on pay hike by citing ‘larger interest of the services’ have obviously been inspired by those who have brought our country to such an impasse on matter of pay & honour which should have been given as a matter of gratitude to servicemen who have been giving so much to many for so little. By rubbing the top brass even on the wrong side it would only add to their luster. The present top brass could have chosen to be content with their own elevation to the top band & may be governorship in the bargain had they towed the line. But they have rightly stood by their men & the services as true soldiers. The present spate of diatribes trying to teach concept of discipline to the most discipline lot- are only to deflect attention from the omissions & commissions which may get unraveled soon.
