Going through the excellent article by Gen Oberoi, I am tempted to recall an article that I wrote for Deccan Herald in 1999 in relation to the sacking of the Naval Chief and also a brief that I had prepared in Aug 2009 for a VVIP on the "Status of the Armed Forces and National Security".
