Dear Veteran Bhupal Singh,
The IESM is pursuing OROP. It aims at equating pre 2006 Majors with post 2006 Majors. The difference between the salary of a Lt Col and a Major, after the former were brought up in PB4, is a subject dealing with change of salary structure and falls within the purview of the Service HQ. I believe they are pursuing it.

Thank God some one has considered it appropriate to highlight this glaring anamoly in pension of pre-2006 Major rank retirees . I appreciate the feeling expressed by Col Ramantan. I have been time & again expressing my agony about this abnormal anamoly and urging the President & the Vice President of IESM to make a special mention of this anamoly in all representations but none felt so to do it. I am not aware if the Armed Services heirarchy has given a thought to this or if they have ever taken up this anamoly especially. They say, it is better late than never. So be it.
Let us hope, some one takes it up now with detailed facts and figures so as to justify it undeniably.
