IESM: report of Rally held at Garhshankar on 27 Mar 2009

1. IESM & ESM Welfare Society Garhshankar (Pb) organised ESM Rally coordinated by Capt RS Pathania & Sub Balbir Singh, which was attended by about 1000 ESM & Widows. About six ESM organisations in Punjab had joined the Rally.

2. Brig Harwant Singh, Brig Nawab Singh, Lt Col SS Sohi, Maj SS Dhillon, Col AS Bhinder & Cpl JS Kumbrah also attended & spoke at Rally. It was very well organised ESM Rally covering a rgion of nearly 50 Kms in radius.

3. Main Talking points were One Rank One Pension (OROP), 27 other ESM problems/ issues, IESM & League Unity, Policy on voting aspects and fielding candidates/ tie up for LS Seats with like minded groups/ Political Parties all over India. "We must create strong pressure group to meet our aim", was stressed there.

4. Lot of ethusiasm was displayed by the veterans and determined to join the 12 Apr 2009 IESM Rally at Jantar Mantar Delhi.
