Dears Raj and Surjit,
Excellent! This is the least one can say about you both on the Karan Thapar programme. Raj, your composure and the meticulously measured answers were a display of authority and maturity. Please do not take these remarks as patronising, but a genuine compliment.
Many thanks for what you all are doing,
Vijay

Dear General Kadyan,
Just watched Karan Thapar's programme.
Clearly Manish Tiwari, Congress Spokesman, was at his best at obsfuscation and disinformation of the public. I had some respect for him as he is a young educated politician and reasonably coherent (though missing on this show!).
I lost that respect for him; he came across as third rate a politician as any other; he disinformed the public with wrong examples and unfaithful assertions.
I feel that all ESM and public across the country must be informed by "quarter/half page advertisment" clarifying OROP and injustice done by governments, so far, in all prominent english, vernacular and regional language news papers. Above execise may be expensive; I shall wilingly contribute my share of expenses towards such media exposure, should sufficient funds not be available with the IES Movement.
Manish Tewari should be informed and educated never to disinform on matters concerning HIS soldiers. By so doing he may have LOST valuable votes for his Party and further aggravated feelings against them. Pity, in trying to base his assertions on half facts and half fiction he came across no better than Pakistan politicians denying that Kasab was not theirs and that they fully sympathised with India's 26/11 episode and that they would do their best by India to solve terrorism planned on their soil by their ISI and others. Please tell young Tewari that.
Regards.

Today's programme on CNBC 18 was a shot in the arm for all faujis, serving as well as retired.
Manish Tewari(Congress/ UPA Spokesman)was on the defensive throughout the 30 min panel discussion. He had no reply to Karan Thapar's queries. His only weapon was shouting, which politicians are so good at, in Parliament and out. In contrast Gen Kadiyan was a picture of a Fauji at his best---- cool composed and respectful.
the General put forth the views of the ex-servicemen in a calm, clear, crisp and precise manner Manish Tewari was at his obnoxious best. He tried his utmost to refute and rebut the points made by Gen Kadian but he was sorely lacking in substance and grace and in true political style tried to obfuscate the issue.
Too bad for him because Karan Thapar was at his gruelling best --giving no quarter and hauled him on coals for the entire 30 mins.
Sadly, despite the lashing by Karan Thapar to get to truth, Manish attempted to skirt the issue and to find an escape route. I think he is in for another round of grilling --- this time by Mrs G. All Faujis must show solidarity and strength in numbers, come on a single platform and continue with the movement. Lets not be drawing room buddies and expect results. If older officers can be in the lead, why should the younger one's resort to missing the meetings and requests to join the movement?

A MILLION THANKS
Dear Karan,
It was a real pleasure to watch the show, "IndiaTonite" today at 5.30 PM.
You conducted the entire program with great passion and skill and within the time available, brought out most of the relevant issues. Hopefully the 'powers that be' have watched or would be watching the replay of this program and take home lessons that will make them see reason and do justice to the retired service personnel. Please accept a million thanks for your excellent support for the issue.
Warm Regards
Colonel(Retired) MJS Jaiswal
