Here is very simple Pay Structure/ Tables for the Armed Forces Personnel solely based on Rank. This is also in consonance with the Sixth Central Pay Commission Recommendations. What is basically achieved is that the multitude of pay tables are reduced to a single simple Salary/ Pay table for all ranks. These tables are easy to understand!

Eliminate all qualifications pay.
Abolish all time scale Ranks.
Yearly increment at 10% of basic pay for all ranks.
Grade Pay, MSP and allowances as notified by by MOD.
Pension entitlement to 50% of last Pay Drawn (eligible after 20 years).
New Pay Scales for Defence forces officers
Once we have a simplified Pay Structure for Defence Services Personnel, there is no scope for bureaucrats to play foul by creating numerous anomalies which the AHQ is still trying to unravel for the last 20 years!
